The problem is that you don't really hear about all the cars that ran perfect 'for however so long'. You just hear about the cars that are plagued with problem, after problem, after problem. Don't get me wrong, that person it is happening has every right to be pissed. I would be. But it doesn't necessaritly mean it is happening to everyone.

If you want trouble free operation, jump on the Civic Si. But even they had 3rd gear pop out issues... but then you give up AWD/tq and tcsst.... pick your poison.

...plus really shoddy synchros on basically every gear (other than the pop out issues, even professional magazines complained about grinding shifting into every gear from about 20k miles and up).

To be fair, there is something incredibly fun about a light, high-revving car with well-sorted handling...It may not be the fastest in a straight line but it can be a lot of fun once there are turns involved.

I made my choice...I've had light cars with high revving motors but I like awd, the rush of boost and paddle shifters now, in my old age lol
