Proper Launch for RA
because if you leave it on the car will try to auto correct itself and on a hard launch it can cause issues.
With it off it allows the car to be raw and act as it wants out of the hole, instead of limited and controlled by a computer.
It also turns off any possible sensories that could harm the tranny in a launch atmosphere.

Im sorry for bringing this thread back up again, but Im just curious at how the tapping/feathering technique is done.
Are you guys holding the brakes (foot) while tapping it? Or as said in the 2nd post, does the clutch not engage and you can freely tap and without pressing it? Im just wondering, and how are you guys tapping it? like tap-1000rpm, 2nd tap-1800rpm, 3rd tap 2200rpm, 4th tap-3000rpm then floor it??

@Westbouund what mods do you have done to your car man?
Sniping, all u have to do is barely hold the foot brake down, push accelerator in fat and push again and repeat this until u are around 3-4k. Then u let off brake and nail the accelerator again. When ur doing this ull feel the clutches aren't engaged and it's revving like a manual car

those with boost gauges do as follows;
asc off
sport mode
auto or manual
Waiting till both drivers are staged
Hard on the brake pedal and like 40-50% force on the gas pedal. While you hold it into the 2500-3000 range you will see your boost climb, once it hits 8-12 psi launch. This method of course does require not racing the light, or the person next to you, but rather leaving when the car is ready. I continuously as do other ra's in our area has 1.9 and well under it 60 foot times.
now i have heard doing this will harm the tranny as your making your clutches spin and then jamming a gear in there as you let off the brake. Is this true that this is actually harming it? or does this guy have no idea wtf he is talkin bout
I say don't worry about your 1/4 times and enjoy your damn car without hurting your clutch.
