FP green turbocharger
i read an article about the project Magnus that they put FP green turbo on an RA... it produce 345whp and 321wtq and tuned making 8000 rpm redline... i've been thinking buying fp green turbo but which is better the green or the red turbocharger? but making over 300whp makes the tc-sst pushing its limits which eventually need the ssp upgrade clutch....
id say the green would give you great spool and low end torque, but im sure the red has more room to grow on and the spool time is minimal at best, this is just MHO so take it with a grain of salt go red if its possible!
i've been debating this as well, i figure if your gunna spend money on a turbo mid as well go with one thats gunna net the most power...
an FP green to me seems like a waste of time since its only getting 20whp more then the guys using OEM evo x turbo's (theres a guy on here tuned lightspeed innoations thats getting 290hp and 340tq on stock RA turbo)... i'm sure with some tuning and porting of an OEM evo x manifold you could pick up the same power as a Green and for drastically less money
i'm looking to find something in the FP red range for power, along with some 500hp clutch packs.... how bad could the spool be?
the way i see it if you want more power and your not planning on upgrading the clutch packs get all your bolt ons done then go for an Evo X turbo, port the manifold and head, bigger fuel pump (maybe injectors and a rail), maybe even toss some cams into the mix, tranny cooler & bigger trans pan (just to be safe) hit 340wtq and call it a build

best bang for the buck is evo x turbo swap...best performance wise is fp red...depends on how much you wanna spend..i would save money now and save up for the clutches then do the big turbo...by then we should know a lot more about the sst
+1
thats why i'm only going as far as bolts on, tune and suspension for another year while i save up for nessicery power parts....
that way there should be more solid info on the SST...
