Exclamation P0140

Hey guys
I know theres alot of talk about this code but I havnt found a clear fix. I keep getting it even with the ams spacer right now I gave the fitting with the smallest hole and steel wool but it still comes up. I just want that stupid SES light gone it's annoying any ideas?

to be honest you might be overdoing it, that code is triped for two reasons, one is the switch count per minute is to similar to the front AF sensor and the second is its not switching at all, you may be suffocating the sensor and tripping the code...just my .02

regardless of it throwing or not, it is meaningless performance wise, and unless the light really bugs you i wouldnt worry about it.

Mine has been on for 6 months now, i clear it now and then, but its just useless.

Can be fixed with proper ECU tweak/tune.

while its true it wont affect performance, theirs only one light and if its constantly on for some stupid reason like a p0140 code, you wont know if another more serious code has also been tripped

also this link explains that a po140 is caused from a lack of signal to the pcm http://www.obd-codes.com/p0140..

i would try removing the steel wool, then if its still a po140 increase the hole in the spacer until it goes away

I was reading the relavent threads about deleting that code and its way over my head. I was hoping there would be a tune with those cel trips already removed.

I had the smallest hole on my TurboXS test pipe and it never went away i would clear it and 4 or 5miles later it would pop back up. I switched to the medium sized hole and it cleared itself before i even made ti to a buddies house to have it cleared.

you might have a failed o2 sensor, take the spacer out and put the o2 sensor directly in the test pipe, if its still a po140 chances are good the o2 sensor went bad

Evil03 has a solution for this. I can't remember where he posted it.
