Can't say if it's faster, probably not, the RA turbo is pretty well fed by the stock system, and is probably too small to really make use of this thing... not to mention driving it hard would be a bad idea with it leaning the car out so much. This is the last step between me and a RAD Lite. That should happen before the end of the year.

12.1 is a better state of tune that 10.2:1. 10's will run cool, but are no where near ideal for a power/efficient medium. GST maps are base maps, so a smart and reliable start. Further tuning should be done to get your specific car where it wants to be. I think idealy, high 11's are perfect to stay safe and get a decent return in power, but 12.1 is not too lean at wot. 10.2 is to rich.

What are your cruising a/f's? Thanks for posting btw. That excellent info.

if you were going for the evo x upgrade, go the x aem intake along with either the battery relocation or a smaller one

This intake is designed for stock map, or custom tune. You can't in-between it and expect perfect results. Would you custom tune the RA turbo, then throw on an X turbo, and expect it to run perfectly...?
Seriously tho, if you look at the GST Base Map's Fuel Map and compare it to a stock tune Fuel Map, it will be pretty obvious why his car us running so lean now.

I've looked at it, I just wasn't expecting it to be this lean. I'm getting a custom tune done those once I get my UR long downpipe

Sorry totalOwnage I didn't specify, my post was a response to EyeDreamt,
Yet another car ridiculously leaned out by this intake.
I ordered the AEM intake (RA version) as part of my X-Swap. I'll post up with results, including what needs to fabricated for this to work with the X turbo.

I wasn't saying it isn't to be expected. There was a lot of speculation that the intake would be fine with the basemap, I was just pointing out there are now numerous examples of the fact that it isn't.

Ah, yes. In that regard it appears to be correct. This intake is NOT intended to be used with the GST Base Map. It WILL require a CUSTOM TUNE, or conversely a completely STOCK TUNE (as funny as that sounds).
