A lift isn't needed to install coil-overs or drop springs for that matter. They can be installed with a standard floor jack and jack stands...

Yeh I did the rear springs on my gts with a lift back in south carolina with 3 friends, and it was no picnic sliding them off. I can't imagine it being any easier by myself without a lift.

With the exception of Sportbacks (the rears are a PITA) it's pretty easy to do coilovers. The whole thing comes out with ~5bolts (?), none of that disassemble the strut nonsense

I can't imagine needing 3 friends and a lift to do it. I did my previous car (Lancer GTS) 3 times, and my current car RA Sportback once, with nothing more than hand tools and a floor jack.

Limited tools, but any excuse to not spend $2k for rims and coils sounds good to me , when I get back from my 4 yr seatour. I will go all out. (Brakes, bigger turbo, coils, wider wheels)by that time money will not be an issue.(hopefully)

If upgradeing past just an intake and exhuast on the RA you might want a diffrent intake system. Even when i was still using a stock turbo it was a little restrictive but way better than stock air box. Its the snorkel that holds the AEM intake back, it is too small of a duct to give really good air flow. After upgradeing to the RAD Lite from CBRD and getting it tuned, the tunner had to take the top cover off the box to get any kind of good power. If AEM would come out with a new updated one that adds a better snorkel then i think this intake would do ALOT better for both stock turbo and upgraded turbos.

As far as MPG i saw a slight increase by like 3-4 on average MPG, WHEN DRIVING NICE.

Is anyone with this AEM intake running the newer GST Map specifically made for this intake.
If so can you give us some feed back.

Its a rather quiet intake. I was using the UR short ram intake and after switching to the aem intake I lost the BOV ssounds. You can still get the nice sound of the turbo spooling up.

I noticed a little better response with GST map and intake on higher RPM (or I hope I did). I does look good under the hood!

Definitely one of my favorite RA engine bays i have seen on here! Did you send everything off to be powdercoated?
