What are all these sst "failures" being caused by and what are the sympthoms? Are you guys changing the fluid and filters?

My car has 33k on it. 3k since my TD05 swap. Was tuned with bolt ons with stocker from about 20k. Havent had any sst problems other then when I first bought it and didnt know about the noisy trans and the dealer ended up with my car for a month for no reason. I got fresh fluid out of the deal though.

Not mine, however, my mom's is a 2010 with 64000 or so and only real maintenance done has been oil changes every 15000 with synthetic oil. The only issue she has encountered is sometimes the car randomly does not want to start, there are no modifications at all besides navi and window tint lol..

Was her RA parked on a slight incline for a few hours when She had the starting issues?

A slight incline I'd say but not the parking lot makes the incline sideways. And she's about to 70k miles now I'd say as you can tell lots of highway mileage and because of that I don't see a problem with that oil change interval not to mention it's synthetic.

Wow that's crazy... I would LOVE to get a UOA of that.

I usually set a reminder at ~4500 miles and by the time it gets to between 3800-4000, I can "feel" a difference.

And it's not psychological either. My gf can feel it the next time she's in the car w/o me telling her.

My "failure" was that my SST had just started shifting poorly and sometimes when I would take off the clutch would hop about 5-6 times and be very jerky.

Yes I had done the 30k service, and it had only been launched hard a handful of times... (pulling out of my driveway on to the highway... etc.) I mostly just drive it around in normal.

Shifts like a dream again...

Your driveways on the highway thats crazy!!! So the trans fluid change didnt fix it huh....most of the time people have problems like that they change the fluid and it fixes the problem.

yeah, this car is definitely more sensitive to the condition of the transmission fluid than typical cars in this price range.

How many miles/km on your RA?

I am sure there was a post for this before, but lets start a new one!

Just curious as I want to see how the ralliart community is doing in terms of sustainability in our cars.

Try this format:

Year: 2009
KM: 48,000
Issues: None
