Quote: So i'm due for a type 'c' service. Buddy says that includes an oil change ($100+) an inspection of some sort ($170) and another brake inspection for another hundred and some odd dollars for a total of $455.93 CDN.

What the hell? Is this normal???
Ask your dealer to brake down your C service in a quote that itemizes all service/work that will be done on your car. The Ralliart is a car that requires more up keep than a regular base front wheel drive lancer. A majority of the work may be justified. Oil changes sometimes includes time chain adjustments if needed.

While the car is made very well, its important to perform visual and diagnostic inspections on your car. This is catching small problems before they become a big on.

Ask for the quote, it should be free. Then decide for yourself if you can get it done cheaper / do some of it yourself. Or if most of the service is justified.
