Rebuilt EVO

http://www.silverlineautomotive.com/...d-5799664.html

do you guys think this evo is worth 17500? it has a oregon reconstructed title. how much do you think i can ask the dealer to bring it down?

and i understand that when bringing a rebuilt title car into another state, it might not pass inspection... is there anyway i can know for sure i can pass the inspection? i live in Vancouver and this car is comming from Portland. IF i DO buy this car i dont want to have spend 18k on paperweight.

gimmie some ideas thanks!

The website says clear title so are you sure its rebuilt?
And if so why is it rebuilt what happened to it?

Personally I wouldn't buy a salvaged car but if you do I wouldn't pay more than 12k for this one. For 17,500 you could buy a clear title car with similar miles.

My 04 cost me 19k with a clear title.

if you look at the vehicle overview it tells you that it has a Oregon reconstruction title. as for where and how it was it im giving him a call tmr morning, so ill update as soon as i get an answer....

so i should talk to him about the price? i wouldn't mind paying.. 15k but if what you say is true abt market prices then ill talk to him and see how much i can bring down.. ahha how should i lay it to him tho? "GIMMIE A BETTER PRICE!" lol

better cars out there than to mess with that......if they take 12k -14k maybe its worth it. best to find out where the work was done and have the car checked over by a professional.

BTW in most cases reconstructed = 1/2 of bluebook value right off. Just remember they will screw you hard if you ever try to trade in, and some banks won't finance a recon.

Sounds like a front end collision. The airbags could have deployed as well.

That's crazy money for a car with a salvage title. The dealer is high in more ways than just the price.
