Was practicing brake/gas launch last night

Just floor it for the half-second it takes for the yellows to drop. Tapping gets you up into the right rpm range (around 2500-3k) and keeps you there without overheating the trans by holding it for too long, but once the lights start dropping, you need the short brake-torque to get the full launch effect, imo.

OK I'll try that. I always just tap it and keep it around 3500 rpms and then floor it and let go of the brake around the last yellow and can't get better then a 1.9. the first time I launched my car and the one time I tried to hold the gas a brake torque after tapping I got the slow down message and the trans didn't reengage for a while. so long that the truck from the track came out onto the track ready to tow me off. luckily the trans reengaged before he had to tow me. it did come out of the hole better then it ever has before though.
