battery

Hey. I'm just here to get a tally on how many of you have already changed your battery?. Tonight I

to go start the car and nothing. Completely dead. No lights nothing. I'm going to change it tomorrow

and check the running voltage to make sure my alternator is running fine. I own a 2009. Production

in 2008 would make the battery 4 years which is slightly premature to die already. It didn't start

about 2 weeks ago (lights still went on) and tonight just plain dead.

Just your thoughts and let me know if anyone else has changed there's already. Thanks.

P.s do I need to reload my get base map? silly question but the car was so dead it may have reset itself??

4 years is not a bad life for a battery, some last and some don't.

Mine is 2009 but I think it has had the battery replaced because it is a Toyota one. ( i bought 2nd hand)

I don't think you will have a problem with the tune, it will still be there.

Funny you should bring up this topic.

I had the car sitting in the driveway for 2 weeks, 1 of those with temperatures around 15 degrees and when I went to open the door, it wouldn't open at first. The lock just made this weak clicking sound. It only unlocked on the 3rd try and I noticed the lights were very dim. I turned the car on (did not crank) to see what was up and all of a sudden, the fuel relay started clicking like mad the display and lights started pulsing. I turned the car off and it didn't do anything, had to pull the battery.

Measured it and it was at like 10.5 volts. I looked at the date and it said 2008. So being almost 5 years old, I just walked down to the autozone and got a duralast gold. (3yr replacement, 8 year warranty!). I only drive long distances on the weekends so the battery's always parked fully charged. 2 weeks usually isn't a prob but I figured why risk being stranded in the middle of the woods in maine at 10pm when the temperature's 10 below.

Which battery did you end up with?

All you 09 Ralliart guys replacing your batteries recently is making me paranoid, because I'm also still running the original battery in my 09 but no problems yet!

As long as you'll charge it from time to time. I forgot the term for that kind of charging. Coz that's what I do with my spare stock ralliart battery.

I leave.it in the garage and it's winter.I charge it every two weeks or so under 2amps.
