Most of the 'herp it's not mounted in the center' tickets are probably fightable in court, but NeoGeo's point is important; is your time--of which you may spend copious amounts getting to and from the courthouse, depending on where you live and where it is, and waiting your turn--worth more than the ticket? A lot more?

That said I am a consummate troll and fight those tickets tooth and nail. It is always worth my time to not get a ticket for stupid things I didn't actually do wrong.

Didn't Steve Jobs never put any plates on his car? I asked a guy at a dealership once and he said it is typically a fine or a fix it ticket. "Fix it ticket, have them sign it off, then take them off again. Otherwise just pay the silly fine."

$140 would be too much for me...
