On a dyno dynamics dyno with stock turbo, made 299whp. Full exhaust, intake, intercooler, injectors, fuel pump e85. Killed a mr with what was claimed as just exhaust. Very few will agree but sst is where its at. I know its about $3500 to get the clutch pack, trans cooler etc. But have you seen what those do? Theyre pretty bossy just dummied down from factory cuz theyre in a $27000 car

This is really simple for me; drive both and see which one you like. Even if one car is better on paper, or after a forum debate, you might hate it in real life. It really depends on what you want in a car.

RA with simple bolt on's and a tune can net some pretty good power. Our Evo X intercooler kit is a direct replacement for the RA. The exhaust is different between the RA and the GSR/MR. The test pipe is the same. If you get bored of the RA turbocharger an Evo X turbocharger/manifold combo would be a decent upgrade.

How much to upgrade a ralliart single scroll turbo to an evo or evo X twin scroll turbo? And is their any other good twin scroll turbo manufactures?

I did my X swap for $1700. Sounds a little steep but I did a map short runner exhaust manifold, map downpipe w 02 dump. Nothing against ets, map is 2 hours away from me. Found the X turbo on here with 4,000 miles on it shipped for $350. Last fall, upgraded to the map ef3 turbo for $1080 with full add ons (black friday deal).

...and also check out CBRD for their upgraded turbo built on the RA turbo's frame.

There are many options.

Buy mine. It's basically new and I'll cut you a great deal:

Yeah, I wish I had waited it out, and purchased the 2015 WRX. You should test drive the WRX and Ralliart, and then make your decision afterwards

I enjoy my Ralliart, but the 2015 WRX blows my car out of the water. I will suggest what others have already; test drive both cars. BUT...please actually test drive them. Don't go around a block and say "hey, that was fun". That will not make it or break it. Find critical points on both cars that you would enjoy and also do a lot of research (which I'm sure you have done already).

Thanks. I really like it. The perfect sleeper and way practical. Gonna miss this one when she's gone, but need to make room in the garage.

Not sure if u bought either one yet. Just my 2 cents worth, I have a 2014 Ralliart. It's not bad, and I'm not a tuner guy, just wanted a car more sportier than my '06 mazda 3 and didn't care for new ones.
Will admit the ride is very stiff and not as cushy as it should be. I do like the steering, very responsive imo. It's got good throttle response at least enough for someone like me. For as how old the Ralliart is, the looks still hold up very well to todays cars imo, maybe a few tweaks here and there are needed.
The major drawback is the interior imo, though the steering wheel feels good and the display isn't bad, everything else is average. My main gripe after driving it for over a month is display is not set right or not driver friendly(power knob should of been closer to driver, and/or angled towards driver. Seats aren't bad, maybe more support is needed. and why the hell there isn't a mute/pause button for the stereo??
The other thing is reliability, to be honest I'm not sure how reliable in the long haul the car is, but I do know everyone says they are on the expensive side to maintain. I had my Mazda 3 for 8 years with only oil changes, one batter change, and breaks and that's it, so I was skeptical about getting another car.
Which ever u buy, enjoy it!
