Hi All,

Basically went to read an ecu rom of a 2009 ralliart and it came up with J2534 errors mid way. I turned off the ignition and turned it back on to only have issues. I took the ecu out and followed the steps to reflash the ecu which said successful. Put it back into the car and could not communicate with the ecu like before, fans running at full speed and couldn't start the engine. took ecu out again to flash ecu again and i get this error now, please advise:[18:03:03.549] J2534 API Version: 04.04

I forget where we found the instructions but look up how to "bench flash" the ecu, you have to remove it to do so, but it's the only way we were able to unbrick; it's easier than it sounds if you're not too bad at wiring and reading diagrams... Best of luck.

I hope you got your ECU fixed by now. But if you're still looking for benching instructions, I found this (see link below). Was your ECU bricked? Just flashed my car and now I'm getting the same error codes.
