Question Rally tires and Weels

Lots of people on here are changing the weels for their care on here to fit the the whole AutoX style bigger wider.

But looking to go the other direction and get some Rally spec tires. But all I can find are 15' suby and EVO ones around and seen on here that our cars can only go down to 16'

Any got links to places that either will machine some or know any one that fit 15' on are cars. sh*t how did they get them on the EVO there breakes are bigger than ours.

I want to get this done....this car will be rallied out by the end of the year seats, cage, and everything so i can race in modified production class races.

any help is greatly needed

what's wrong with a good 16x6.5 or 16x7? there's plenty to be found that'll hold up to a good amount of abuse, not to mention much cheaper than all the 18s most people are in the market for now

Bigger brakes do not necessarily make better brakes. Materials and cooling have a lot more to do with it than just size alone. More than that, unsprung weight reduction will let the suspension components react faster.

Can't really argue with a 24-lb to 32-lb unsprung/rotating weight reduction, can you? If you don't believe that they use these, see http://www.amsperformance.com/acp_evoix_rally_car.php under wheels/tires, you see 15" listed.

Na I am just looking for a good wheel choice that will fit the tire I need plus the upgraded break kit later.

It's just I don't see many rally tires over about a sixteen.

Also I just need a good wheel that will hold up to the abuse.

Remember that the EVO X was not designed for Rally use. I'm not sure about EVOs, but I know for a fact that STIs run 15"s on dirt/gravel. I believe that they swap out the Brembos with a smaller caliper brake in order to do so, though.

Yes the Eco is a track car but there are some in rally.

But I'm still talking about the ralliart wheels. I need a good wheel that will fit the tire

X was definitely designed for Rally use...but there is no factory teams. Mitsu still has a very active rally assitance program, and the X took first place in the 2009 North American Rally Championship:

My bad, wrong link:

15" gravel wheels.

Using these brakes:
http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...Brake-Kit.html

Brakes are the limiting factor to wheel size...in OEM config, the Evo X Brembos are too big to allow 15" wheels. You need to swap for smaller rotors and all hardware that lets that work. So indirectly, you were talking about brakes

15" wheel at work, in a "not designed for rally" car:

curious, though, if the evo kit would mount to the ra knuckle or if there would need to be additional fabrication for some different mounting brackets
