ok just to clarify. im not looking to bounce the front end or ride on 3 wheels. just want 2-4 inchs of adjustability on the fly.

I can't even imagine the responses you're going to get for this but I know there are some people that have ended up using these: http://www.umbrellaautodesign.com/co...vrh_suspension
Check it out.

He says that because, let's be completely honest here, 99.99% of the people that do this to a car AREN'T looking to do what you claim. The extreme majority only wants it purely for show (or to make an unusable car usable), and that's their prerogative. Frankly, it's a "stance nation" mod, and that has polarizing effects on opinions...
At any rate, if you do follow through with this mod, keep in mind the RA's steering geometry is ~NOT~ designed with variable ride height in mind. This means that every time you change the height the toe settings (and camber and caster) will change. When you lower the car, the toe goes positive (front wheels point out ward); the lower you go the more positive it goes. The alignment shop can only set the toe for 1 height. If the toe is set for the lower position, then when you raise the car the toe will go negative (front wheels point toward each other) . Too much toe in either direction will have adverse effects on the car's handling and tire wear.
