The reason the numbers you read in the brochure are different is because of drivetrain losses due to the AWD they are pretty high. So say, 15-20% of HP is lost once it gets to the wheels due to that. Every car, regardless of FWD, RWD, or AWD suffer drivetrain losses, but AWD is always the most significant of the three.

Clarifying a bit further...240 is the engine's HP or Crank HP. This is the number you will always hear advertised as the cars HP. However no car is able to put all of that power directly to the ground due to having to go through the drive train, as SOG said.

As tuners, its impractical to get an engines Crank HP after modifications as that would require pulling the engine out of the car. So tuners use Wheel HP or the power actually put to the ground using a Dyno. This is a much more acurate picture of a cars overall power.

So if you tell someone that after the tune you put down 225 wheel hp they should know what your talking about and not be confused. If they are, they probably have no idea what you mean by a tune and you shouldnt be their friend

Hehe allright, fair enough. So I'll ask them at the wheels or just the engine then
How much hp aprox do you reckon the tune gives at the engine before losses?

Evo X IC and UICP
COBB 3inch downpipe (without the O2 housing)
HKS box filter

Bryan, could he be having AFR ratio problems because he has these modifications? Your map u have created for us is designed for boost pill upgrade only, correct?

Would seem like it from the first post...

What this is:

1. This is for a 100% stock 2009-2010 Lancer Ralliart, stock meaning stock pill, stock intake, stock exhaust, stock everything. (or a stock car with a GST upgraded boost pill and our BaseMap for it)
And Bryan seems to have advised others with exhaust mods that the only way to be safe is with a wideband and logging...

Yes you are correct. However it really shouldn't lean out to 13 AFR with just those mods.

I'm thinking something else is going on. I would swap a new relay in or just swap it with the high beam relay to see if the AFR changes.

Some noob question...

Can I fit any of these basemaps to my Euro -09 Ralliart.
Iīm very interested about this.
As I understand that 2010 AUS Basemap works in EU version too.... but how about 2009 model??

And what about those octane numbers. We have here in Finland 95 and 98 octanes (RON I think).
Is is same than US 93 oct??

Thanks!

I believe the 09 AUS rom is the same as the 09 EDM rom. If you would like to send me a copy of your Rom off your car, then I can make sure.

98 RON = 93 oct

just a note: the mitsu dealership recalled my friends 09 RA and swapped ALL the relays to blue ones. not just the fuel pump.

also, when i get my TBE installed, if i see 13:1 afr's, would 93 octane on a 91 base tune bump it down until i can get it properly tuned? are the V1 tunes richer/closer to stock fuel trims than the V2 tunes?

Ok, thanks for the info.
I donīt have tactrix cable yet so I canīt send you copy of my ROM.
I didnīt buy cable yet because I didnīt know if I can use some of your basemaps with my car.
Maybe I can buy that cable if you believe I can use 09 AUS ROM. Sounds weird if 09 AUS and EU would be different because 10 AUS and EU are the same.

Ok been driving around for a couple days and the shifts are a lot better but that 2nd to 3rd gear shift is still slower than any other gears. 3rd to 4th is super fast. I don't know whats with the 2nd to 3rd...
