I had the V2 map and I live in WIsconsin, it got pretty cold here a couple time already and I threw a CEL p050B. cold start ignition performance.
I flashed it back to stock and haven't had a problem yet. I think i'm going to stick with a stock flash

starting issues...hmmm....what about potential over boost?

Also, what about the V1 cold region maps, are they more susceptible to cold weather?

Brian said their should not be anything preventing us from using it. He told us that if someone had noticed some problems with it, just send him some logs.

For now I had no issue, but the temperature stayed above 0C. And I'm not quite stock. If I get into some issues I'll have the logs ready (I'm logging all the time, thanks to the Tactrix cable).

I did have a CEL pop once on a cold start, temps around ~50F in the rain. I flashed back to stock for the morning, and returned to the 93/stockpill V2 flash the next day and haven't had any CEL/issues come up since. Temps have gone down to ~43F since, and I haven't had any problems either. So far I'm confident that V2 should be fine for most of a Michigan winter, but I still plan on logging/running V2 for as long as I can this winter.

PS. Bryan, ygpm .

I got a CEL this morning too at about similar temperature. I'll read it tonight if it's still there. But I think it might be related to my exhaust O2 sensor readings (I got a test pipe). I'll keep you posted if it's something else.

Other than that, my AFR seams to be ok while driving. But on idle it is pretty unstable and can spike to 16. But as soon as I push the gas it's fine Maybe a little rich sometime :P

Difficulty. I had issues downloading, the 2009 + 93 Oct + boostpill. First my laptop crashed (never happened before) then would not recognize the map.

I also had issues saving my ecu data. I lost that data, but was only the map that Mitsu reflashed me with about 2 weeks ago.

I do have my ORIGINAL ecu still on my computer, but lost the ecu reflash Mitsu did for my car.

I ended up reflashing my ecu with the V2 version. worked fine.

I was nervous because my laptop died in the middle of the tune! I think i had issues with file names or something....ROM could not identify.

If your laptop is not stable I'd fix that before relying on this computer for flashes. I don't know for ECUs but for all the other flashable device I have a failed or interrupted flashing procedure usually renders the device innoperable.

+1. i had this happen while my car was getting tuned. there was an interrupt during the writing process and the car would not exit from write mode; just turn the key on and the fans would kick on and the dash would light up like a christmas tree. had to pull the pcm off the car and bench-flash it back to previous edited rom before going back and doing it all over again

I just install 93 oct with boost pill on my new ralliart I got last friday. The transmission is so smooth now, loving it. I can't believe your giving this for free.

I'm also from Quebec Canada, should we go back to stock during winter?

thanks

i noticed that the car jolts a bit at first gear at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle after the car just started up. i tried to warm up the car enough but it doesn't seem to help. It goes away after 15 minutes of driving...Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem? Currently using V2 Map
