Help with test pipe install

I bought a used ams testpipe on here without the gaskets or bolts. Im buying the gaskets at kamispeed which is 10 minutes away and i was gonna order the bolts from ams but shipping is $15 dollars for something that costs 4. Is there anything special about the bolts necessary to put on the testpipe? can i use the stock ones? thanks

i'd imagine you could use the stockers provided they came off in one piece. since its a newer car you shouldn't have a problem. I know from taking off exhaust bolts on older vehicles you always end up busting them off.

if you bust them just go to your local hardware store and look for similar sized stainless nuts and bolts. and be sure to get lock washers just to be safe.

The old bolts are perfectly fine as long as the threads are in good shape. Otherwise just reuse the stock ones. They aren't even special hi-temp bolts. Just cheapies.

If you're worried about them freezing up next time you need to remove the exhaust, put a little dab of anti-seize on the threads first.

I would just use whatever you have on hand. I just so happens that my CP-E testpipe came with new bolts, nuts and gaskets.

+1 for CP-E
