***Warning! Noob Issue***
Alright when i'm cruising in 6th gear on the highway and i need to pass someone, sometimes i forget that its in manual mode and floor it while the rpms are low, i get a fast fluttering sound. When i do downshift and floor it i don't have this problem. Now the car doesn't sputter at all its jus the sound. We all know flutter is bad so I did some research on this and came up with a lot of results. From what i found i narrowed it down to a few things based on my situation; intake amplifying the sound of the turbo, IX BPV doesn't fit properly, or it could jus be because i'm in a high gear at low rpm.
Another thing. If i had a boost gauge will that help me identify the problem as well?
If anyone have any other ideas please post

Its a surge, at the low rpm you are generating too much boost and the car is compensating but releasing it so you dont over boost.
In low rpms in 5th gear with my srt-4 i could hit 30psi it was nuts.
The intake just helps you hear the surge and flutter better, but isnt the cause at all. And yes a boost gauge would help you see whats going on, and make it easier to see and understand how and when it will happen.
Basically, unless your over 3k prms, dont try to hit boost, especially in a tall gear that takes time to get into the power band
