AMS "widemouth" downpipe on RA

So has anyone installed the AMS "widemouth" 3" downpipe for the evo X on a Ralliart? Im looking to get the most out of the stock twin scroll turbo for my RA. Ive already gone with a AMS intake for the fresh air , next i went for the exhaust side by installing the AMS downpipe. Ofcourse it wasnt designed and made for a Lancer Ralliart. Without a lift it would have been an all night adventure but only took about 1.5 hours with the proper tools and equipment. From my 3" straight pipe exhaust i had a CEI cause of the cat being missing and now the light as gone away since the downpipe install. So i wanna hear if anyone else has installed the same one or any other make, ex. ETS with or without the wastegate dump, Greddy, HKS, so on...

^ So wait, you already have an Evo X turbo then from what your saying and that you got the AMS widemouth 3' downpipe and so forth. The ralliart comes with a single scroll turbo and not a double scroll and from what I understand the widemouth couldnt fit because the exhaust side flange of the single scroll turbo on the stock ralliart doesnt fit the size of connecting side of the downpipe. Am I missing something?

@bsvaton Did you install it yourself or have a shop do it? Also have you made any passes on the 1/4 mile, and what kinda time ya run?

@japan101 As you learn to read a Thread, it cleary states i have an evo X (twin scroll) turbo on my 2009 lancer Ralliart. Just take your time and read it. All im looking for is peoples opinons if they have the AMS downpipe installed or what other choice instead of the OEM exhaust housing/downpipe. Only if you had done the upgrade swap from single to twin scroll turbo you would understand whats going on.

@Ralliart87 It's not about reading a thread, its about how you word and punctuate your writing in a thread that makes understanding all the more easier.I also looked for anything posted in your signature to find a listing of modifications that you might have completed so I could better understand your post. I dont have to upgrade my car a certain way to comprehend what your saying.

Back on topic: Since you have the AMS X downpipe I would think that the Evo X guys that have purchased the product would have a better opinion than the few that have done the swap in the Ralliart forums would. As far as I know the other DP is the one made by CP-E. All the other DP's I know of are for the X I think.

AMS has the only cast piece DP available I believe. I've had several people tell me that it's much better than the other downpipes that tend to crack at the welds.

edit. I personally went with the ETS downpipe.

sorry, i have to go with japan101 on this. from what you say here, it appears that you are "looking to get the most out of the stock twin scroll turbo" for your RA, which we all know it is not, its just confusing the way you worded it, the first read through i thought the same thing. it actually never "clearly states you have an evo x turbo" in the original post...

can you give more details on this? i have never heard of a test pipe install causing a cel and then a downpipe install solving said cel. please enlighten as to how this happened? not trying to be rude, just curious.

as far as your original question, you can't ever go wrong with ams parts quality. as was mentioned, i think it is, in fact, the only 1pc design of its type in production right now so thats probably your best indicator as to the amount of specialty work they are willing to do for our community. that and the numerous other high quality, professionally engineered, race proven products that ams provides

Me too, R87, you had me confused. I thought you believed the Ralliart stock turbo was twin scroll. Thanks japan 101, for clearing that up.

You didn't clearly state anything. You said you had a stock twin-scroll and I assumed you had a stock turbo and didn't know better and thought it was a twin scroll. So I say you shouldn't be ragging on japan101 when you had a terribly written post.
