Q re AMS Widemouth Downpipe with AEM intake...

Hey guys, has anyone installed the AMS Widemouth Downpipe, which I believe replaces the 02 housing as well. In order to not draw too much unwanted attention, I was wondering if you pop the hood can you see the shiny downpipe, or "AMS" stamped on the pipe, or would the AEM intake box hide it? Thanks.

The stock heatshield hides most of the AMS O2/DP, but if you look really hard from the left side you can spot the flex part way down low and the intake would not hide that.

Just curious, but why would you be worried about someone seeing the DP but not be worried about the very obvious AEM intake?

He's likely in Kalifornia where mods are a real PITA. You can get blanks for the AEM intake which make it look fairly stock.

According to vendor webapages, the AEM intake is now CARB certified and 50 state legal. Yes, in California it is a pain to modify your vehicle without drawing unwanted attention. The AEM box looks sort of stock b/c of the black box, and the Nissei UICP looks sort of stock b/c it is all black as well.

Like someone mentioned earlier with the heat shield you can barely see the O2/DP, and I don't think you can see any of this from the area where the airbox is located.
