so i recently installed an evo x turbo on my car and got tuned by ams. and now the other day i was driving and noticed that my car is starting to over boost. so now i had to order a grimmspeed 3port and get re-tuned so i dont over boost anymore. it was spiking past 30psi. so anyone who has a evo x turbo swap make sure you have a boost gauge so you can keep an eye on this. because i dont think our bcs can handle this new turbo.

 

Ive never hit more that what looks like 23 psi maybe 24 psi with my car. I go WOT very often and look at both AFR and Boost every time, but ive only got the AMS baseflash and havent gotten a custom dyno tune yet.

 

The single BCS can handle the Evo 10 turbo no problem.

It's the same single BCS found in the Evo 8-9 and they work just fine.

i just put in in today i will post pics on tuesday after i get tuned. i dont have the vac hoses hooked up yet.

 

I've been running the factory solenoid with the x turbo now without any problems.

there is no need to upgrade the boost solenoid on our car, not even on the x turbo.

 

well i upgraded my bcs to a grimmspeed 3port and got re-tuned and my overboosting problem is gone.
