OK so I got a AMS HFC and AMS single exhaust system installed today. First of all I had to go to the shop and show them how to put the midpipe in correctly. Then I find out they striped the threads on the oxygen sensor. I checked the prices and I dont really want to pay 150-250 for a sensor. They were supposed to also install the O2 sensor restrictor I got to avoid a CEL (I definately have a CEL now). There is NO thread left on the O2 sensor......so the only idea I have is to shove it in the restrictor, where it was supposed to screw in and now slides in and out, and use some 600F JB weld to seal around between the sensor and restrictor. I know people say it will not hold on exhaust parts but I also no the pressure and heat blow the JB weld out. Since I wont have any or very little pressure from the exhaust and the heat should be a little lower since I will use the one behind the cat. Any one think this will hold or any ideas to fix?
I also got the SSP 500 hp clutch pack in and I am waiting for FP to finish up my ported red, I will post up some details about that when I get the time to do some pics and stuff. Still waiting on more parts but I got the most expensive done. I am shooting for a 400+ RA at the wheels.
the temp will actually increase directly after the cat, so it's gonna be tough with the jb. if you ever take measurements of the exhaust temperature on a car, it's always hottest right after the combustion chamber and right after the cat. it's just part of the procedure that reduces emissions that includes the release of high levels of heat. i've never heard of the other stuff before, definitely worth a look.
side note: why are you waiting on those relays? throw them on the car in 5 minutes and save yourself the risk.

Well I dont think they are volunteering to replace because it is around $200 - $250 for a direct replacement. I think it is in one of those gray areas like when I took my car to AMS they broke the bolts to remove the stock turbo and I had to pay for those too. I was at least warned by AMS before it happened though. But anyways.....I just got the blue fuel relay in 3 days ago and I just have not looked into where the relay goes. I have decided on Jack Cecil from HP Logic to tune and adjust the clutch/tranny tables.

I am not made of money buddy, I save up just like everyone else. I dont really care to spend $200 on a part could be repaired for $20-$30. Especially when I could use that money to go toward the 800cc injectors and SSP flywheel I am saving for now.
