Evo X intercooler Swap question for 11' Ralliart

I am about to pick up a slightly used Evo x intercooler with upper and lower pipes. For my 2011 ralliart which has 12k miles on it. i want to know if i swap the ralliarts intercooler for the evo x's will it require me to get a tune right away after i install it, or can i wait and be okay? i will be getting a tune shortly, just not at this exact moment in time but within 5-8k miles. i just want to know if anyone could help me and if i have to wait to install in the intercooler system .

You can wait, but you will need to pickup the upper pipe as well and change the coupler on the lower pipe.

No tune needed. Boost and everything doesn't change so tuning isn't necessary. Tuning will maximize gains. Swap only regains HP lost due to heat soak. And like he said, just need a new coupler for the smaller ralliart turbo

Sorry about it not being a link, using iPhone

And I'd say contact the guys down at ETS for if they have any couplers, only company I'd trust for quality. I know they have ralliart specific parts

Actually forget what I said, I re-read your post. If you have the pipes you don't have to worry about a thing. Just get ready for a PiTA install of the LICP. Everything's all just a direct swap

You can swap all the pipes no problem long as you have all the couplers that came with the stock evo x intercooler. If you were going to use the evo x intercooler and keep your RA piping you would need the different couplers. since you're switching them all you wont have any trouble. You might run into a problem with trying to adapt the recirculation hose from the evo x licp to.your bov since the angle is a little weird. i know theres some guides around here somewhere but my phone isnt the greatest to try and locate them on.

Lots of talk on this page about licp to bpv fitting.

i did the swap on my 11 RA about 3 months ago and haven't tuned it yet. I had to pick up a 2.5" to 2.25" coupler for the LICP and had to build my upper body up a little bit to get the FMIC seated correctly but I have no complaints. it took the car about 2 weeks for it to really maximize usage out of it (not completely sure why) but it's held up solid for me so far. Autocrossed it once before our season ended and it ran like a champ.

I have the Evo X IC, LICP, and UICP on my '12 Ralliart and it all bolts just fine. The pita is that licp. I nearly took apart my whole front clip cause I got tired of screwing with tight spots. Lol

Yeah licp is not "exactly" a direct fit... Its swappable, but for me, it took a little wrestling and a floor jack to line it up right.. . You might wanna skip one of the three bolts that mounts it, the RA only uses two.. Most aftermarket kits only use one.

And you wanna find an evo x bov return hose, and cut it in half.. the RA one wont line up well, if you have the full evo X IC/LICP/UICP.. thats the only other part youll need..
