cold start running rough

I started my car this morning and it was about -34 degrees outside. I wasnt plugged in as i had to park on the street. It turned over slowly, and when it fired it sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders. It did this for about 10 seconds then stumbled and started running fine. I have a drop in filter, turbo back exhaust, boost pill and gst base map on 91. Obviously it was a symptom of the cold weather, but i am wondering what causes this and if it can do any damage.... this is the second time it has happened. I am more curious than anything. Thanks for any replies.

maybe plug it in?????????????????????????? if you cant, well its going to do that when its cold outside. 90% of engine damage is from cold starts because of improper lubrication. Car was just hung over because it could move the oil properly through the engine.

I normally plug it in every chance i get... but i was parked at a friends and had no way of getting a cord to it. It sounded like maybe a couple injectors werent firing at first. Thanks for the reply.
