Fuel pump needed if exhaust changed ?

So recently I spoke with a local tuning shop and they asked why I had not upgraded my fuel pump when I added the turbo back exhaust. I said I had never heard of anyone doing that just because they added a TBE. Is this guy just blowing smoke or is this a legit thing people should be doing? Again this is the first I have ever heard of this after many years into the car scene. Hopefully sombody can clear this up for me

Doubtful. I'm on a dom 2.0 and I still have room to go on the pump

I'm in Maryland like you, and thus I would love to know which tuner shop gave you this bogus advice so I can avoid them like the plague and advise others here in the area to do so as well. You can post it in a reply or send me a PM.

The place was called TAC tuning. It was a small shop in baltimore. I did not get any work done by them. I was doing a trip all around Maryland to see what shops were out there. I settled on Agile Auto performance. If you live in Maryland there really is no better company than Agile. They have an A+ rating from BBB and they know more about cars and have more equipment than you could imagine.

Yeah, Hill McCarty(the Owner) at Agile is a good guy, I actually had my Ralliart tuned the first time there at his shop back in 2009. However, if he's still using the Dynapak 2000 dyno there, I would recommend you take your car up to CBRD Speedfactory in York, PA and have Chad Block tune it. Agile Auto specializes more in Subarus, whereas Chad at CBRD is more of an expert on Mitsubishis and he has a Mustang dyno which I think does a better job at tuning our AWD Ralliart/Evo platform. Suit yourself though!
