Question Excessive Blowby or Normal?

In efforts to locate another noise the engine is making, I popped the oil cap off while the engine was running and it just about jumped out of the hole! This worries me, I've dealt with quite a few engines and I've never had an engine this new have this much blowby. With that said, watch ...

I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow first thing. But, by the way the mechanic reacted, it doesn't sound like this is gonna go any where or any testing will be done ... Almost like they don't care unless something is blown up.

I'm not sure how much air is blowing out from your video, but the dancing cap is twerking it from your rough idle.

However, if your PCV valve is jacked up, stuck open, it's going to push all that air. It's normal for air to come out just from the pistons going up and down.
That is why we have PCV and the vacuum line plumbed to the intake. So when in boost it goes to the intake.

You could also compression check it to see if a particular cylinder is leaking more than another.

Check out this guy's boost leak test. Leaking from the oil cap.

It doesn't have a rough idle, the engine doesn't shake at all. The pressure is blowing it out of the hole like that.

I've posted this to get a comparison of other people's experiences with their 4B11, as my experiences with other engines prove to have FAR less blowby with even 4 to 5 times the amount of miles this has.

Yes I would like to do a compression test, but just haven't had the time. The car has 10k miles and is completely stock, if that was missed in the video ...

Yeah... sounds like a compression test is in order. I doubt it is a boost leak.
