My 09 Rallliart has been giving me some slight headaches as of late and it only has 61k. On October 22nd the car was in the shop for a week at the dealership as they stated my timing belt had to be replaced as well as the cam gear that was crushed by it. They stated I was an avid racer for this to occur at 60k which I have never pushed this vehicle. Back when the car was at 58k I took it to a different dealer and they gave me the run around. Symptoms were the same as they were at this particular situation. Nonetheless, I reached out to Mitsubishi Corporate of America and fought to get it under warranty and was victorious. They went ahead and replaced:

Timing Valve Chain
Timing Chain Tensioner
Timing Chain loos guide
Timing Chain tens guide
camshaft sprocket
Rocket cover gasket
Alternator tensioner
Bolt flange
Sealant
Oil change

It hasn't even been 2K yet in mileage and my check engine light turned on last night. I went to an Auto Zone and they pulled they code P183D "Shift Fork 2 Malfunction". I noticed about two weeks after I got the car back when accelerating and changing different gears it feels as if the car would skip between 2nd and 3rd but would be fine as it reached higher gears. Has anyone dealt with this? Does it stem from the work that was recently done? The car is at 61350. Kind of sucks that this happening right around the holidays. Any feedback would be sincerely appreciated. The check light engine is off as of now due to the code being read. Not sure if it will kick back on. Thanks guys.

 

Not 100% sure if they would be related because of stress of the gearbox/engine not working together(don't crucify me with that statement). When's the last time the car had a sst fluid & Filter replacement?
