SST transmission fluid overfill

I have a 2010 RA sportback and when I bought it the plastic cover was over the transmission was cracked so it was losing tranny fluid. I have no clue how much was lost so I replaced the cover and drained all that was remaining. After that I bought the correct Daquin sst fluid 4 liters each and poured two of those in. I Read I needed only like 7.5 but I wanted to make sure. I started the car and everything but the car won't move if it's put into drive or reverse. Anyone have any suggestions?? I already drained some out thinking I poured too much.

On the side of the tranny right behind the strut is a 10mm hex bolt. Make a tool that removes that bolt (not easy...) and let it spill (while fluid is warm). Re-insert bolt.

If the car still doesn't work - something else beside fluid level is bad. Any codes?

I am not really mechanically inclined but I also have a 2010 Ralliart Sportback with a leaky transmission.

It turned out to be a common manufacturing defect for early Ralliart. I end up having to get the whole thing replaced via warranty.

How does your trans shift? Hard and noisy even in normal/auto?

Good luck.

It said transmission service required, should loosen that hex bolt while it's running? When do I know it drained enough?

No, do not drain/check while running!

And, never mind - they may have to pull and drain the tranny now anyway. SRY.
