I think it might be the AWC/drivetrain, but the transmission feels fine, and the steering does as well. I haven't made any significant changes to the steering/drivetrain/suspension. All fluids are regularly changed by the manufacturer's recommendations (SST fluid, transfer case fluids, oil changes).



Anyone see this error before? This was on my 2009 Ralliart, at about 81k miles.

 

It means your ACD Pump is crapped out, which is the same thing that's happened to lots of other Ralliart/Evo owners. There's tons of Threads on this website about the problem, here's just a sampling:

That same image popped up on my car, but it was a one time thing. It was really cold that day when it came up and then it disappeared. It's been about 2 months, haven't seen it since. Took it to the dealer and they said it was probably a fluke.

 

Since you are under 100k miles you need to goto the dealership and get it replaced free under warranty. My pump went out at 60 miles. You should've gotten a letter of the warranty extension for the pump. I waited until 95k miles to replace mines so I can have a working pump after the warranty expires.

 

I hate that light.

I just bought my 09 Ralliart a couple of weeks ago, 88k. Drove it home from the dealership, and the next day, that light came on. I took it back to them (trying to explain what the problem was from looking at prior RA forums) but they did nothing, however, they were a Ford dealer..... Figures! Well, after whatever they did (didn't do) the light came back on so I took it to my Mitsubishi dealership, they checked it out and within a minute they said I needed a new pump. Good thing is, it's under factory warranty under 100k miles!! So long story short, take it in and get it replaced for free.
