Evo TCU to RA

Hi,

Sorry if it’s been asked or answered before - I’ve looked and had no luck.

I have had no success getting the SST flashing working via tactrix, not for lack of trying, and I’ve got a TD05 on its way and would rather not smoke my clutches the first time I lean on it.

I can pay someone to do it remotely, but the cost is a lot more than I can pick up a TCU from an evo X being parted out local to me.

Is it a viable option to just plugin the evo TCU to gain s-sport mode? Or am I adopting a bigger headache and better off to just fork out.

Much appreciated!

What is happening when you are trying to flash? Give some more details please.

My issue is getting the pass thru program to work - can’t get it to see my car at all. Using ecuflash successfully for a while, but no joy with the other program.

It is a pain to get working right if you’re not 32 bit. I got mine to work fine. Did you install in both program files and program filesx86?

Pass. Might start from scratch and give it another go. Doesn't probably help that my laptop is about the same age as the car!

I've seen a few people have issues with communication or connection double check your USB and tactrix are secure, make sure your cars battery and laptop are full or charging would be best, re-read the steps and take it slow when you do it and it will seem like it's stuck several times but don't freak out let it finish, plugging everything in seems to help people worry less about how long it takes sometimes and avoids another potential issue. Average flash time from clicking the check mark to start to it completing is about 10 mins but I've had it take more time in the past.

Also when you install on a x64 system you have to alter a couple directories in windows temporarily for PassThruCAN to install and function correctly, not sure if that might be the issue.

Try again and starting from scratch might a be good idea.
