I've looked all over and am surprised I can't seem to find any videos or instructions on how to replace the water pump on a 09+ Ralliart. I have the service manual pages but it just says to remove the strut bar and exhaust manifold cover. Doesn't really help.


I can remove the 5 bolts holding it to the engine easily but the 2 nuts holding the pipe to the side seem like there must be a trick. With the 5 bolts removed, the water pump can be pulled away from the engine and moved up and down to get a little clearance but not enough to put a ratchet on. The nuts are bigger than a 11mm and smaller than a 12mm, which doesn't make sense since there's not even an imperial size in between (11mm ~ 7/16").


I'm hoping if I can get a ratchet on the nut that it would be 12mm (makes the most sense). There's a bracket connecting the exhaust manifold to the engine that would give enough room but I'm not sure if those bolts have the same special torque requirements as the exhaust manifold nuts so I was hoping to not have to remove more than I need to. Any suggestions or tricks?
