Sweet dude. I'm in North Syracuse. If you are ever close by drop me a PM. Or if you hear of any meets in our area. I mean Watertown isn't like right next door, but hey, if I just feel like driving I'll let you know.

This was done with plasti-dip also.. It was a pain taping everything off, it took a good 1-2 hours to do it properly, theres enough room to slide a piece of tape between the ring and your bumper, and then you can newspaper everything off.
I started with 1 light coat and then every 20-30 mins i did a heavy coat with out causing any runs. I did 5 coats in total and then let it sit for 24 hours. Been done for a few weeks now.. no problems and looks 100x better.

when using plasti-dip, do you still gotta sand down before whatever you spray so it has something to bond/stick to?
for example like if you were to spray paint. or is it not necessary to?

i bought a can, prolly gonna do it real soon.

you can sand the surface........ if you want to.

the real key is to have the surface VERY clean.

the plasi-dip will always be able to be "peeled" off of what ever it is aplied to....

.....no matter how you prep the surface. it is NOT paint. it is a coating.

the good thing about not sanding , is that if you get tired of the black you can

peel the coating off and the part you coated looks like it always did.

that is my case with my window trim. i can peel it off

and the chrome will be as good as new !

I have a sprayer and getting some gun-metal and doing the entire center nose section. Primered, color, then clear coats, but its going to be a long weekend sanding and filling primer for the black plastic.

+1 got a car wash then put it on ... no need to mess with the sanding
