Hey, we need a mod-shop to make us carbon fiber replacement rings for our noses. I'd buy into that, then I can swap without the paint chip worry. I love the black ring !

i have cut a pattern for the nose ring.

when i get some time off of work i will make a ring out of aluminium.

it will be flat , not "pointy" like the stock one.

a "real" parts company should be able to make a replacement ring with very little effort and investment.

What do you guys think of a TB RA with dark red accents all the way around (including rim lip)

trying it out tomorrow. I bought some black vinyl tape to see if it will even look good to start and a can of Plasti Dip (dipping solution, not spray).

so as I was applying the vinyl tape around the nose ring, I thought for a moment that A) this is a solid black RA and its probably more black than I'd like. and B) the nose ring is one of the (if not biggest) premiere things that make the Ralliart stand out from all the other Lancers.

I figured it was just in my best interest to skip blacking out the nose ring and keep it as is. so with the time I set aside for this little project, I decided to get more intimately acquainted with my new car by putting a fresh coat of wax on it.

If you do a good job of putting it on, it's not coming off until you take it off.

I'm guessing it's more durable then paint. Paint would chip/peel easier maybe? (I've never seen plasti-dip before, but heard it's supposed to be better then painting.
