the bumper wasn't too bad but the clips were the hardest part. on the how to i'm pretty sure the guy who did it missed a bolt or 2. and all of the bolts are 10 mm not 12. me and my friend had too take a screwdriver put it between the bumper and quarter panel and unclip all 4 clips (not 5) starting from the light working our way back.

yea i'll do it. i'll write up and take pics when i put it back on then put it in the right order for removing it. it won't be til late next week. how'd you get the pics in your post and not as attachment? i won't be getting my ECU, FMIC, or intake for 3-5 days. they were out or the silicon for the upper pipe. it may be 1-2 weeks before they get the battery. the good news is the dremel cut right through the bands in only couple of minutes!

i got the black coat since all the other pipes in that area are black and i wasn't sure if the heat could tarnish the chrome. i found the boost pill tubing today but didn't take it off since it'd just be sitting in the basement.

it didn't look too bad on their pic on the website. still waiting on AMS for the parts, but how'd you get all the tubes off for the boost pill. they seem really fragile and i don't want to damage one.

You really only need to take the one tube off (the one with 3 clamps, 2 on ends and one near middle of hose.) just use pliers and pull clamps past where hose connects to plastic, twist and pull hose, they were not hard to get off (least for me). then remove the middle clamp (and bottom clamp) find something a little smaller then tube opening and push out stock pill, replace with boost pill. (make sure to put a clamp over the pill)

EDIT:
Twist the hose part that's over the plastic not below the plastic.

Hey Mike nice setup u got going; How did I miss the entire thread?!

I just had my ECU back today from AMS, installed it and the boost pill. Running awesome, until late night I got a Service Engine message that doesn't wanna go off, and when I parked with the car still on it was holding high rpms at about 2k, usually it idles at 1k... not this time; I turned it off let it cool down and half an hour later i turn it on, it runs normal but the light is still there.... dont know if its leakin cause the small hose in the vac is not as tight as it was before i removed the clamps :S

have u had any thing like this happen to u?

Anyways, very nice setup! I'm going for the SRI and Small Battery next month!
Very happy with the extra gains! It's like a stock Evo X in GTS clothes (except that it doesnt have all the evo wizardry and superb handling )

Oh please please post some side-by-side pics of the OEM IC and the AMS IC, too. I really want to see how they compare.
