Plasti-Dipped my Window Trim

The other thread's getting big so I'm starting a new one here.

Yesterday I posted the thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...ndow-trim.html and today I'm posting the plasti-dipping results. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Masked off everything except the chrome

Closeup of sprayed trim (4 coats 30 minutes apart, each coat was 4 sprays)

All of em

I wish I could....after I submitted it I noticed I wrote lip instead of ring

I did actually change the title, but it still says Lip in some places.

total cost is like 8$ for the can of plasti-dip. it can take many hours depending how you do it.. i did the front ring with out taking it off in about 6 hours, 2 for papering everything off and the other 4 for painting and waiting 25-40 mins between each coat. I didnt have to do the window trim canadian RA's don't have it.

Looks good! I just did mine yesterday. Didn't take Long at all. Had a few blemishes but nothing to noticable. I also did the trunk release which was also easy. Posted a how to on trunk release. I still gotta do the front trim. Didn't have the time yesterday. This plasti dip stuff is really good. Easy to work with.

the plasti-dip will come off , if you want it to.

you can "peel" it off.

my window trim has been done for several months now ......

......with no signs off "wearing off" or flaking.

Glad you guys appreciate this The can of Plasti-Dip was $6-something plus tape for masking, so it costs next to nothing except an afternoon of your time.

I probably only spent 2-3 hours doing both (NOT including drying time....)
