i was never interested in the viii due to the way it looks, but the latest photos are a step in the wrong direction again. This is a car that I WANT to like....
At least it does look better than the new subaru.

Nice looking car. I think it's a big improvement over the 8 and 9. Should appeal to a much broader demographic.

 

the front looks ok but then you look at the rear end and the interior ... yuck this thing is ooogleee ... they should have painted that middle part of the bumper also...id rather get a 9.

 

I think the X looks pretty sweet, I hope the inside doesn't look like that. Autoweek last week said it would have a possible 6 speed paddle shifter. It did not say if there would be a manual option or not. I was just curious on what a paddle shifter would do to performance.

i just wish it were as sporty looking as mitsubishi normally keeps their cars. it does look like a domestic and thats a big turn off. if i wanted a pontiac, i'd buy a pontiac.

Here's a little comparo I did of the EVO X vs the EVO IX. Looking at both cars next to one another I really like the X. It looks like it has a better build quality, at least it appears so in these pictures.
I like the front of the IX, but I'm no fan of the rear. IMO it comes off looking kinda cheap and I don't think it should.

Clearly stock to stock the X will be the better performer, if Mitsubishi's press release is to be believed. So the real question is, how do the different aspects of one car to the next? Is the front of the X an improvement over the IX, what about the side profile? Or the rear end?
