So the SST is faster on the straight line and slower on the track?
Where was it measured? Are these Japan spec cars?

They would be Japan spec, and there is no way I would trust those numbers until we see the actual production SST here.

damn.......EVO X. Starting to lose interest in it. US spec cars will be slower than times listed.

I have a feeling STI will do well against the EVO this time around. Why did you make this car slower Mitsu with all the hype!?

If these are JDM spec cars, then U.S. spec cars are in for a world of hurt

Evo IX = .6sec and 1.1sec faster than X's around Tsukuba. Where are all the "it may not be faster in a straight line but it's faster around a track" fanbois?

Why hasn't anyone asked for a link with those numbers yet?

PS That's a JDM Evo IX with AYC so umm yeah. (If those numbers are even true)

Not being a fanboy when I say this (especially since I hate the philosophy behind the X), but the only thing that could possibly save the X around a track is the AYC. Its like Game Genie for tarmac.

Yes the X-SST is faster against the X-5MT in the straights; also the X is faster than the IX through the turns like on Ebisu circuit (but slower on the straights).
The new Lexus IS-F does 13.433 in the 1/4 but manages a 1:08.107 on Tsukuba, whereas the X-SST does 13.650 in the 1/4 but puts out 1:07.120 in its best lap on Tsukuba. These cars are all JDM and were driven by Best Motoring.

I hope all the people that couldn't fathom why I was saying the SST would be slower around a track than the 5-MT look at this thread...

Edit: Haha, I just realized FLK was the most vocal of them!

I guess the US mags have done well to run 14.0 if another publication ran 14.0 with a version that's 200lbs lighter.
