Hey guys,
Went and got a 'V-Tune' on the dyno at TheShopCT in Connecticut.
To make a long story short - it was a long day at the dyno. The tuning on the dyno went great. During the road test I blew gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo. The bolts / nuts came loose and let the gasket blow up. So make sure you check those bolts after torchering your car.
The only issue I had at the shop was when one of their employees decided it would be a good idea to jack my car up with a tiny piece of a 2x4 and the jack slipped and it dented my passenger side floor board. I was mad about the gasket blowing but was pretty PO'ed when that happened. Jimmy (the owner) fixed it himself. Just banged it. It's not that it caused a lot of damage, as much as it had put me in a bad mood.
I was told if I switch my Hallman manual boost controller for the Grimmspeed ECBC / Omni 4 BAR MAP sensor it will hold boost much much better and that every PSI of boost was good for roughly 15 HP. So the car should gain another 30 HP up top.
I was also kind of bummed because FP sent me the 18 PSI wastegate actuator when I was told it was the 25 PSI actuator.
Looks like next week when I get paid I will be buying those 3 mods.
On to the good stuff...
Ambient temps were 94 F and it was very humid.

I am going to go back in 3 weeks for a slight re-tune with the Grimmspeed / MAP Sensor / 25 PSI actuator.

So What boost was that at then only 18 psi? If so thats pretty good but if it was more then you could have gotten those numbers out of a red plus the 30 or so you say you are missing. With those big injectors are you still on premium fuel or did you make the switch to E85? I have a friend where I am from in Colorado that made 470 on a RED at 29PSi on E85 so you should be WAY over that on a black at 25 psi. Hope to see better numbers shortly!

They told me it has a lot more left in it, but they either wanted to leave it how it is (because I have a stock bottom end) or wait until I got the better boost controller. I said just leave it how it is and I'll come back with the boost upgrades.

I am going to go back and have it re-tuned with the new boost controller and I feel good about it being at 470 WHP, when all is said and done.
Why push it to the point where it will blow? It's cheaper to build it with a good core then it is to blow something and then have to fix it later after it went kaboom!
Because it's only a matter of time before it blows up if you push it too hard.
