Talk is cheap if you can’t bring it behind the wheel. You’ve seen the episodes of The Forum Wars presented by Royal Purple, and you’ve thought, “I could do better than that!” Here’s your chance, as recruiting is set to begin for The Forum Wars Season 2.

Would you like to represent EvolutionM on the track in your Evo? Are you willing and able to competitively run a ¼ mile drag race, autocross style road course and a 0-100-0 competition against an STi? We want you to compete on The Forum Wars Season 2 that will be filmed in Houston, Texas at the Royal Purple Raceway the weekend of Jan. 8, 2011.

Racers and fans of the inaugural season of The Forum Wars will experience better competition as the new season will include:

· ¼ mile NHRA drag strip
· Improved road course design
· 0-100-0 racing
· Cars and drivers nominated and approved by the forums
· Additional track time for the drivers
· More evenly matched vehicles with similar mods and tires

This season’s eight (8) episode series will be promoted on national television, SPEED, and posted and promoted all over the internet. To sweeten the deal, prizes will be awarded to participants from Royal Purple, Magnaflow Exhaust, Eibach Springs, Mothers Polish and more.

If you want to represent your forum on The Forum Wars Season 2, please reply to this post. Or, if you would like to nominate a EvolutionM member, you can submit his or her name.

I am going to be watching this thread and keeping it clean so we can better sort through everything and not have a bunch of off topic posts To that end, I have removed a lot of the "+1s" and repeat nominations.

How I would like to run this is as follows: To keep this thread organized, instead of nominating someone, please PM them and alert them to this thread. I would like to get several guys that are interested, we (The Forum Wars show and Evom staff) check them out, and then put forth possible candidates for a vote.

That said, if you-

1) Have an Evo you want to compete with

AND

2) Are 100% available for Jan 8th in Houston, TX

Please submit your candidacy by posting up in this thread that you would be down for a competition.
When we get people that are for certain interested, we will compile a poll and vote someone in.

Come on, guys, step up to the plate, especially now that it is open to all Evos! I want to whip NASIOC.

 

i would do it, but my car would be humiliated in a drag strip and possibly on road course .
I'm rocking 250 whp and 340 wtq and my car weights 3400 lbs without driver and co driver... LOL

 

we have a car that can do it. evo X, GSR basic bolt ons with E85 putting down high 300's. its setup as a time attack car in TTA (we have maxed out the points on it, even though it doesn't have a ton of mods, we can't add more for TTA). he can drive it (NASA TT-certified), and he can also drag race extremely well (thats his passion). his user name here is 666_evo


we are in dallas, so houston isn't far. if your looking for the 500whp cars, you'll get owned in a autocross (except for cars equipped with a red, that might be more ideal).

Just remember guys this show doesnt need all the horsepower. Just show up with a stable car and someone that actually knows how to drive the car to the limits of the tires. throw on some street DOTs and get the suspension dialed in and you will smoke all the cars on the show. Dont be scared of the Vipers, GT3's,GT-Rs, or Vettes be scared of the fellow that can drive his car. the guy that has actuall track experiance will lay the smack down.

Your suggestions and nominations are appreciated. Have you heard anything from some of your suggestions?

To answer some questions, we do not want to simply pick any member from EvolutionM, this was a mistake made last round that will not be repeated.

This will be a hell of a fun day for whoever is nominated/steps up, but what is most important is that it's someone you guys back.

There's gonna be some serious prizes this time too. Each event winner will get a bunch of Royal Purple, a full Magnaflow system, a detail kit from Mothers, springs & anti-roll bars from Eibach (the ultimate winner will get a coilover kit), and possibly a set of new tires...we are working on this sponsor right now, it's looking like Falken is going to step up.

we'll be out at the track on the 4th of december and we will get some road racing video. he has some from the last NASA TT event he was going to post up as well.


(remember, 2/3's of the competition are drag race related. both the drag race and the 0-100-0).

Just checking in again. We are stoked on your enthusiasm. We still have plenty of time for additional submissions and voting, but it looks like Josh 666 Evo may be your guy. I will leave the ultimate selection up to you. The response to my posts for an STi in ClubWRX has been pathetic, am I in the wrong forum? Any suggestions.
