The Forum Wars: Season 2 (Results inside)
We want to get as much support from EvolutionM as possible and let you guys have the largest possible pool to select your representative from. I received a suggestion from a member that we should open up the competition to 8, 9 & 10s to go up against the STi. Done! Look for an updated post in EvolutionM. Also, I will be posting in other STi forums as well. Game on. Paul

edit* oh sweet, i saw the thread on nasioc, a few guys signed up. autocross guy and our buddy Chris with his STi

There have been a few of these threads now. No????
There are a bunch of potentials here. Evolutionary, Nils, Gates, Robevo, Shark, Neonglh, Chu, Evo8dad, Alwaysinboost, The Buschur boys (Slorice, VW Jeff etc...), STM boys (Draven, yellowevo82 etc...)
We could go on and on.
I there a HP cap? Mod cap? Shop cars welcome?

I'm glad this is finally coming back around. I emailed royal purple right after seeing the original episode, and volunteered for the next round. there was a thread started shortly after that, but it kinda faded. good to see some good people getting involved this time.
I personally would love to do this, but I doubt I'll get picked for it with the other people looking to enter, but if for some reason no one else can do it, I'll do it.

I am interested! (poting for the second time now) I read the rules in the first couple posts and I'm still not sure why my original post was deleted as it followed the rules.
I would love to compete and feel like I would provide for a great episode.
My car is more than ready for this competition and I feel like I've never been more prepared. I have over 300 quarter mile passes in my Evo and plenty of road course days and an autocross event under my belt. Oh, and I've spanked many, many Sti's
Not only is my car an excellent contender for this competition, it is also a fair competitor. This was a car that was built by a true enthusiast (not a shop) and couldn't have been done without the help of the EvoM community. I would be honored to go and represent EvoM on TV for us and I think that I would do you all proud. It is a street car with no weight reduction and a reasonable amount of modifications (not built to the hill). It was built with drag racing and road racing in mind, with more of a focus on drag racing which is perfect for this competition.
I can provide any further information required, but I will save the essay for if I see some interest.

I truly believe that Justin should participate in the upcoming competition; I would be giving reasons till tomorrow, but I will mention the most important.
1- Experience - Of all the guys on Evom, I have come to realize that Justin is one of the most knowledgeable guys out there! With the records he owns (fastest stock turbo VIII 2006, fastest and quickest BBK-Full turbo as of 2009 and many more) he's a true definition of being an Evo specialist!!
2- Passion - He cares a lot about his car, and he cares a LOT about others - He endlessly supported me by supporting me with all the info I needed, even though my nosy nature translated in me asking him tens of questions - His answers were very elaborative. He spent, I would presume, hours writing answers for me, even though I live in a different continent, and we basically don't know each other person to person.
Justin should be the candidate because he definitely IS a true example of being an Evom'er!! Passion, experience, kindness, and most important, high achievement without having to spend tons of money buying every single product out there!! His car is a true example of an efficient project - Impressing numbers, reliable builds, world-class setups, resulting in having a perfectly all-rounded EVO!!!
Thanks Waleed!
Thanks Jerry!
I absolutely vouch for Justin, he is a seasoned racer of both drag and road course. His Evo is also up for the job for sure, but we all know this. I think other than the car and driver skill, if we want a forum member to represent us we also want Justin because he's a straight up and down cool car guy that is laid back and treats everyone like your a friend. This is the kind of person we want to represent us.
Thanks David!
I want to thank everyone for all of the support thus far! It feels great to have the community behind me!

I completely vouch for this member (Boltz.). I'm sure many of us recall his very elaborate write up on the BBK Turbo. This member is very dedicated to the community, he has held plenty of records and has even come in 2nd place at the DSM/Evo Shootout. He's got the personality and technial skills to perfectly represent us in the community. You got my Vote Buddy.

Looking under the hood of the car it would be hard for the untrained eye to realize this is a car pushing nearly double the output of a stock car. He does his own tuning which I respect since I do the same. Any brake and suspension mods further enhance the stock setup without ruining drivability. If he gets picked I think his car would do great in all events. Best of luck.
Thanks Chris!

Boltz's BBK review thread almost single-handedly convinced me to buy my BBK. The numbers he achieved with the car really opened my eyes to the potential of such a mild (relatively speaking) setup. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable on the few occasions I contacted him for help deciding on my own setup. I have no doubt he would bring home the win for us. Oh, and he's a Chicago guy too. Represent.

While this method might bring us a strong contender.. I think what's most important is that we send the person that we feel will represent us the best.
Let me explain, do you guys recall the Evo guys at that Bull Run show.. While I believe they had the best chances of winning that event. I feel their antics and lack of respect for the other racers kinda made us look bad. I feel bad for what happened to their evo in the crash, but as a whole our community also took a bad public relations hit.
This is my number one reason for nominating Justin /Boltz.
Not only is he a very technical person, as visible here by his very popular BBK Review.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/se...iew-boltz.html
But he is a very committed member with a true Passion for his car.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...way-shoot.html
He is respected in this community. He has a perfect seller rating of 19 sales. And overall he's a very likable guy.
His car is a beast and I just think he's perfect for this nomination. Even if something happens and he doesn't win, He has the class and respect to not make us look like a bunch of sore losers.
Well that's my .02 cents.. Happy voting.

I will have to agree as well. Justin would be a great candidate. He had a well rounded EVO. It is one of those "factory freak" cars. So much potential.
Also, its his bday today so Happy Bizzle Dizzle!
But..... you MUST detail that thing first. Seriously.
