The Forum Wars: Season 2 (Results inside)
Let me explain, do you guys recall the Evo guys at that Bull Run show.. While I believe they had the best chances of winning that event. I feel their antics and lack of respect for the other racers kinda made us look bad. I feel bad for what happened to their evo in the crash, but as a whole our community also took a bad public relations hit.
This is my number one reason for nominating Justin /Boltz.
Not only is he a very technical person, as visible here by his very popular BBK Review.

But he is a very committed member with a true Passion for his car.

He is respected in this community. He has a perfect seller rating of 19 sales. And overall he's a very likable guy.
His car is a beast and I just think he's perfect for this nomination. Even if something happens and he doesn't win, He has the class and respect to not make us look like a bunch of sore losers.
Well that's my .02 cents.. Happy voting.
It looks like Boltz will be a great representative! Boltz can you please post all the information on your car? I would like to make this available to the STi guys. Once they select there rep I will post their information for you guys as well. I want to thank everyone for your involvement and wish you guys good luck at the event!
Something better happen quick, whoever goes might want to prep the car to some degree.
I suggest having a local back up ready to go if the peron going ends up being someone from across the country. SOme of the nominees got a long way to drive with a short time to plan it.

I want to let you all know that I have been hard at work getting everything set up for this competition. The producer (Paul) and I played phone tag yesterday and I was going to wait to talk to him to post my mod list. I did some snooping and found that the nabisco guys (NASIOC) have yet to pick their car. I just wanted to avoid an unfair advantage for them because if I post exactly what we are brining before they have selected a car, they will likely try and one up us.
I have been speaking with Justin Wylde of AMS Performance and Chad Block of CBRD Speedfactory, Ryan Upham of Hamflex Racing along with some close other friends and shops to get this on track! I've got a few extra suspension goodies and minor upgrades in the works so that we can represent EvoM properly.
Thanks to Hamflex for the use of the trailer and advice to use a specific truck from Penske to tow the Evo and avoid any possible issues transporting the car!
Thanks to Chad Block for hooking up some suspension components along with lending his motor sport expertise!
Thanks To Justin Wylde at AMS Performance for taking the time to sit with me and discuss some options and proper corner balance and alignment!

wait so no vote? we have a guy who drag racing is a proven passion and has posted results, has proven road race experience (TT certified). and hes got 3 evos, so he more then represents the "evom" mentality. not to mention he lives 1200 miles closer to the event, his car is done and ready to go (and track proven as it sits), no need for last minute "hook-ups" on an untested car at that point.
obviously the road race portion of this isnt going to be pretty for the evo if your just putting your suspension setup together as we speak. you live in chicago where your not going to be able to test it either. with all due respect, ask anyone who has ever road raced or autocrossed and ask them how many events it took them to setup the car properly. they are lying if they say anything less then 3-4. you going to be trailering a car you cant be sure will perform well, while we have a competent driver here, with a car thats proven and already to go, with more then likely more drag racing experience (you should see his tube chassis lightning). if our goal is just to demolish the subis on the drag strip, i'm sure josh would love to use his evo 8. it puts down roughly 700whp
now lets vote already, we have show josh knows what hes doing, and represents the community well. boltzs has experience and is active here as well.

if this is called "forum wars" I think the forum should vote on who is representing them.
I would like to see someone who has experience in all 3 forms of racing, not just someone who drag races and has good seller feedback, lol. Thats like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Were you picked for this already? I thought they were going to do a poll.
