Of course it is. What a silly argument. Its called driver skill. Also is that not why we practice? I am pretty sure many of us do it to get faster. I dont think you can put a guy who has won a championship against someone who has been on a course once or twice and consider it a fair fight. For example back in my racing days on a bone stock 600cc bike I have lapped anywhere from 8 to 20 seconds a lap faster than street riders doing a track day. When I used to race in the AFM we would run two stage races. So 1000cc production bikes would leave and get a head start. Then the second stage would go being the 600cc production bikes. In a 6 lap sprint race I caught and passed the winner of the 1000cc race. I wonder how that happened. Oh wait, I lapped much faster with less hp due to skill.

Subaru is a great car , and between the evo and a subaru /at a same level of mods/ as i ALWAYS said , nothing decide just a driver.

He would have been, yet none but two submitted their candidacy. After that point, one of the two dropped out.

If we are to participate next year, I hope many will come forward so we can have an official vote.

I would go for either Marty - Dave or Ryan , but there are many out there with a less celebrity status and most certainly qualify like EVOlutonary etc.

I am sure we can find another candidate easy, and we should every year different guy .
Nothing is taken away from the guy who run this time though. He been there and he did it. I think he did good too.

666evo, nice job, NO autocross or slalom experience!? You did freaking awesome based on that. A guy with no autocross or slalom experience is never going to compete with an experienced National Champ. Had it been the 0-100-0 competition it was suppose to be........

I'd love to compete in an event like that but reality is I don't know if I'd drive very far to do it. Jarrod Hoops or Dave Sutton are the guys we need to nominate/donate funds and send to compete. Either of those guys will DESTROY the competition!

you cant really say that , when you dont know the opposition , also in general in racing
You know it, everything can -could happen .
But would be nice , if one of those get promoted to represent the forum it next year

 

I'll put my money where my mouth is if Jarrod or Dave will go in the way of a donation to help with expenses! I know enough Subaru's to feel confident in my statement.

i hope there's a vote and we send a more experienced driver/racer this time, like they did, so it'll be a fairer fight in the autocross (and the slalom, although josh did pretty well here)
