Lightweight flywheel and stalling

Hey guys, sometimes when I push in the clutch real fast from say 3k rpm the idle can't keep up and it stalls.

I have an ACT Prolite flywheel on the evo ix.

What can I do to combat this? Do I just raise the idle speed to say 900? I have it set at 825 right now.

Whats the idle speed for a stock evo?

I searched and couldn't find anything on it.

mine is set at 950

also check your boost/vac idle settings when on the gas.

What will solve your problem is:

Hi Idle RPM Offset
Units: RPM
Description: Additional RPM added to the idle target when in the "high idle" condition.
Typically used for engine deceleration to help prevent engine stalling.

Hi Idle Wait Time
Units: Seconds
Description: Counter limits how long the high idle offset conditions will be met once
the idle conditions are met. Typically used for engine deceleration to help prevent
engine stalling.

you set the additional rpms you desire and the amount of time it will be active, try 200 rpm's and 2 seconds and custom tune it from there.

What did work was playing with these settings:

high idle car speed = 25 mph
high idle RPM offset = 200 rpm
high idle wait time = 2 seconds

Update:

With the settings i had before the car kept stalling so I read the manual a few more times and finally understood what the parameters meant.

New settings are:

high idle car speed = 3 mph
high idle RPM offset = 250 rpm
high idle wait time = 0.12
Idle off: 2.34%
Idle on: 2.34%
Idle above: 400 rpm
Idle below: 1800 rpm

You might already know this but I'll explain anyway.

The "high idle car speed" is set at 3 mph. So anytime you are going above 3 mph the ecu adds 250rpm so the car doesn't stall.

The "rpm offset" value is how many rpms the ecu adds once the rpms go below the "idle below value" of 1800.

The "idle wait time" is the delay time that the ecu adds the 250 rpm after it hits 1800 rpms. Before I had it set at 2 seconds and that value wa s too high. The car would have stalled already.

NOW the car never stalls.
