Need alittle help!!!!!!!

just a few ?'s please help

1. I bought an AEM and i havent got it installed yet but it came with the GM boost solenoid and i already have a greddy profec b 2 boost controller on the car. When i go to the aem is it better to let it control the boost or do i need to keep the profec ? I heard the AEM boost solenoid was the best way ?

2. I have the 3.5 map sensor and i am going to get 3 tunes one for 93 octane and about 22psi and one on 110 and 30psi and last c-16 and 34 psi. Now is the 3.5 going to be ok because most of the time ill be using the 93 or 110 tune, the only time ill use the c-16 is when i have the money and if im going to drive 2 and 1/2 hours the 1/4 mile witch is 1 or 2 times a year or last if a supercharged zo6 wants some LOL.

3. Last can anyone help me with a base map, dont know what all ya'll need to know but here is most mods. built 2.0 and head with oversized valves, gsc 280 cams, HKS DLI 2 , BR 35r with tubular header, 3" exhaust, Br race fmic , RC 1000cc injectors, and a walbro soon to be br's twin pump, i think thats everything thats you need . thanks for any help and please pm me if you have a map.

THEY ARE BOTH WRONG!

It's is not easy to have the AEM control boost. Stick to the Greddy until you get it running well, then try the GM solenoid and see if you can make it work to your liking. If you can, then great, sell the profec.

I agree! Use the profec till you get comfortable with the EMS.

At least get ahold of someone that know's what there doing to get you up and running. If you have never used AEM before you will be in for a world of pain and frustration.

The GM boost contol solenoid will work fine. Getting the AEM to control boost is pretty easy IMO it just takes a little bit of time to setup your maps. I would definately go this route rather than the Profec B.

The 3.5bar MAP sensor should be good for ~35 psi, so you might be pushing the range of the sensor if you plan on running 34psi. This being because the MAP sensor will only read UP TO 35psi, if you accidental run more boost the AEM will not know and will not be able to compensate for the extra boost.

Wasn't trying to be an A#$hole@!

If you haven't done this type of thing before I would strongly consider seeking the help of a professional. At least to get you started.

IMO,profec will be easier to start with. It's way easier to adjust boost.

If you really want to run 34psi then go ahead an get the 5bar. Bets are that you will run more than 34psi at some point.

The aem boost sol is better if you are trying to ramp the boost, stabalize it or if you are not hoing to mess with it.It can also set a lo/high switch and run two boost settings if you want this should be set up and done by your tuner as for the base calibration there is one set up for you already with the 3.5bar map sensor so all you have to do is rescale the fuel map by right clicking on the fuel table and selecting to change injector pressure and follow the instructions the select the injector form the battery offset table and them it will start.
Pm me if you need help

save yourself a lo of time and money, and pay someone that knows how to set it up and tune it for you. IF you do it yourself and are not sure about tuning you could blow your engine.

contact RRE in Cali, ask for a guy name John Honda. He can get you a good map sensor, Kavlico, for like 110 shipped with a pigtail. Kavlico were the people who used to supply AEM with all there MAP sensors then they had some sort of falling out, but the Kavlico sensor is hands down the best sensor to have. I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
