Ems Drivability Question!!!

hey guys,

alright i have not been all that happy with my EMS. I do not know if its because of the bad tune that i have or what... Drivability is not that great on my car, like for example cruising at low rpms, the idle of my car is horrible and the common issue COLD START!! So my question is with a good tune from a good tuner is it suppost to drive like a stock ecu car??? because if it is, then i would have to look for a different tuner!! please guys help me out with this problem!!!!

-thanks

mine drives almost like a stock car as far as cruising at low rpm's. my idle is higher than stock. the car does not drive good until it has warmed all the way up though. But other than that it drives good with the AEM EMS.

Same here. Martin tuned my car and it runs perfect. My only issue is the cold start below 40* but im ok with it.

Get a different tuner, I have been running the EMS for almost 3 years and still learning stuff about it. I have also seen some of the tunes on peoples cars from shops and I was honestly stunned, I don't see how some people put up with it. So the best words of advice are to either learn the system and do it yourself or find someone who you can trust do provide a good tune. A good tune cannot be done in a couple hours and be 100% exact with the EMS.

With the right tuner the AEM can drive and run better then stock.

Find a better tuner.

My bad ,I thought that the question was who tuned Dafunk630's car and I know who it was and it was not David. Now after reading your post it makes sense . Ray,you just need to get it tuned properly and you will be much happier with the AEM as a bad tune will make you want to throw the AEM out the window like so many do when it is not tuned properly.Get a good tuner to tune it and you will make alot more power than the place that tuned it originally for you and it will be much nicer to drive
