Compatible USB to serial adapters

So today I installed my AEM and got everything hooked up and went to try and load up the start up calibration.

Im using a trenznet adapter.

I went to try and connect to the ECU and its telling me the ECU is offline.
Im also getting a parity error, which upon reading the AEM forums people suggested that the AEM might be damaged and need repairing. Although most times people got more then two errors with none getting just one error.

Im curious and just hoping that its just a compatibility issue with the usb adapter and my ECU isn't fried.

What USB adapters has everyone used out there?

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Thanks!

RadioShack sells a brand called Gigaware (their own I think), part#26-949. USB to serial cable comes with driver disk and drivers for XP, Vista, etc. and I use it daily with ZERO issues. Works like a charm for me using both Vista and XP. Go get it!

Google search Keyspan serial adapter. That is what I use. Works awesome. They also recommend this on the DSMLINK forums too.

+1 on the keyspan. Never had a problem hooking up (as long as I had the keyspan and the AEM pointed to the same com port but that's a whole other story).

I am running a Dynex adaptor from Best Buy. It was $25 and the driver is available on their website, it always works perfectly.
