I have a 5 bar map and its currently wired to the ems. I have a tru boost which controls boost. I was wondering if I can wire the 5 bar map to the ems and the tru boost.

The map sensor from the aem has only a 5 volt power source to power the map sensor and the signal it sends back is also voltage based. In theory it will give a reading, but i would not trust it as it is only designed to send an accurate signal to 1 unit. I would buck up and purchase another 5 bar sensor for your true boost. You can however test your theory by doing a pull with the 3 bar map sensor hooked up with your true boost and hit f6 on your comp with the aem for datalogging. Then repeat the pull under the same conditions with the sensors split to compare datalogs. Make sure to press f7 after the runs to end the datalogs. Just compare them to see if the readings differ....

I have mine like this currently. I have an aem 3.5bar sensor. My secondary unit is not for boost control though just a visual for the zeitronix. I think i would want a standalone map sensor for both, simply because the problem i had below. Boost control and the ems are too critical to play with.

The car would just randomly not start when shut off. I would usually kill the battery trying to get it started. I finally figured out it was because i didnt have the aem supplying the 5v to the map sensor. I had the zeitronix unit supplying 5v to the map sensor and the ems spliced into signal wire. I rewired it were the ems supplied the 5v to the sensor and just spliced the zeitronix unit into the signal wire.
No problems since. I even had to adjust my whole tune due to the change.
