Issue with an AEM EMS V1

My car has been down for a couple of months now while I was performing upgrades on it. When I got everything hooked back up I put the key in and turned it to on mode. Before the upgrades I would hear the fuel pump engage and the fan kick on. Now I don't hear anything. The fan will eventually turn on but it sounds as if it is pulsating. Plus if I try to link up the AEM it tells me there is no connection. Any suggestions at this point. I have been researching for the greater part of an hour now and have had zero luck,

unplug all sensors, and try that. If it is an older V1 the eprom could have displaced from the socket.

Is there a way I can see if it displaced itself?

OK so I just got finished disconnecting and reconnecting every sensor in the car. I also pulled the board and checked out the circuit boards. The eprom appeared to be intacted and I didnt see any fired sections on the broad. Car still is having the same issue as it did before. Anymore suggestions at this point?

i would be concerned about not being able to connect to your ecu.

do you know anyone with a aem ecu you can swap out or have them try on their car to sort out the main issue of establishing comms?

Unfortunately I don't have anyone that I could have test it at the moment. I think my best bet at this point is going to be sending the ecu to aem for inspection.

I had the exact same issue a few months ago. The car would die after bumps, and required a battery disconnect to restart, then eventually the pump wasn't priming and it wouldn't start at all or connect to the ECU. I sent it to AEM, paid their $90 fee and got it back a few weeks later. The EPROM chip came loose, causing the no starts/no prime. You might want to jump on sending it in ASAP - AEM recently announced that they're soon ceasing support of v1's due to a lack of parts/age etc... They did give me the option to upgrade to v2 at a reduced price, but IIRC it was almost $1000.
